The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

First Deputy Governor of Taiz, Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Mekhlafi held discussions today with the Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Diego Zorrilla on the necessary needs and efforts that contribute to alleviating the suffering of the people of the governorate.
During the meeting, which included the governorate’s police director, Brigadier General Mansour Al-Akhali, and the directors of the executive offices, First Deputy Governor Al-Mikhlafi praised the humanitarian efforts of United Nations organizations and all international and local organizations that are working to achieve response and improve the living conditions of citizens in the governorate.
