Leadership Council Chairman meets Bahraini FM

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and with him Council member Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, met today, Wednesday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting, which began yesterday.

In the meeting, the Bahraini Foreign Minister conveyed to His Excellency the President the greetings of Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and his wishes of welfare for president Al-Alimi, and for the Yemeni people as well as wishes of security, stability, and peace for Yemen.

In turn, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Minister Al-Zayani, conveyed his greetings and members of the Council to the Bahraini leadership, and his wishes of good health and wellness to it, and to the brotherly people of Bahrain all progress and prosperity.

In the meeting, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the political support provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Yemeni people and its leadership in various regional and international forums.

The meeting touched on the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, and the commendable mediation efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to push the Houthi militias towards seriously dealing with these efforts and all initiatives aimed at renewing the truce and maximizing its benefits for the Yemeni people.

For his part, the Bahraini Foreign Minister affirmed his country's commitment to its position in support of the Presidential Leaership Council and the government, efforts to restore state institutions, and peace based on agreed upon national, regional and international references.
