PM emphasizes role of Academic Accreditation Council in helping higher education institutions develop

Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik stressed the importance of the role the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education is expected to play in helping Yemeni higher education institutions develop and excel, ensuring good practices that qualify them for academic accreditation at the national and international levels.

This came while the Prime Minister chaired, today, Sunday, in the temporary capital, Aden, a meeting of the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education, after its restructuring, where work priorities were discussed in implementing the tasks assigned to the Council, and developing the organizational structure and executive tools of the Council, by benefiting from regional experiences.

Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik stressed the need to work effectively to improve the quality of higher education institutions and help them implement effective quality assurance systems that help them achieve academic accreditation standards, and to provide qualitative consultations in this aspect and in national, regional and international partnerships... stressing the government’s commitment and full support to the Council in whatever capacity it can to help it play its role in developing the quality of higher education, qualifying higher education institutions for academic accreditation at the national and international levels, and creating effective partnerships between the Council and higher education institutions and their Arab and international counterparts.
