Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik received today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden a delegation from the Global Vaccine Alliance (GAVI) headed by GAVI's Regional Director Anne Cronin.
Representatives of the World Health Organization and the UNICEF were in attendance.
The discussions covered a range of topics relating to the ongoing cooperation between the Yemeni government and the GAVI to support health sector, sustain the Health Ministry's efforts in the preventive medication domain through vaccination against the childhood diseases as well as through enhancing the health system.
The conversations also touched upon the partnership with the GAVI mainly in supporting anti-polio vaccination campaigns including the national vaccination campaign scheduled to be carried out during the time from 23 to 28 of this month.
The Prime Minister healed the fruitful coordination between the Yemeni government and the GAVI, deeply appreciating GAVI's contribution to the vaccination campaigns in Yemen.
