Transport Minister, UNDP discuss cooperation maritime insurance

Minister of Transport Dr. Abdussalam Humaid held discussions today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden with the Resident Representative of the UNDP in Yemen Zenah Ali Ahmed over aspects of collaboration between the Ministry and the UNDP.
The conversations touched upon final arrangements to sign a primary framework agreement to reduce the cost of the maritime insurance on the ships which come to the government-held seaports.
Humaid and Ahmed discussed the articles of the agreement which is set to be signed with the next couple of days.
The Minister highly appreciated the UNDP's efforts and projects aimed to improve Aden Seaport including training, maintenance of the equipment, repair and furnish the building of the General Authority for Maritime Affairs and installing solar energy system.
