BinMubarak discusses with Iraqi Justice Minister file of Yemenis arrested in Iraq

Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Awadh BinMubarak discussed Monday here with Iraqi Justice Minister Khaled Showani the file of 11 Yemenis, including a woman, in Iraqi prisons and possibility of extraditing them to finalize their sentences in Yemeni prisons for humanitarian reasons.

BinMubarak confirmed welcome of Yemen to any mechanism allowing them facilitating extradite of Yemeni prisoners, expressing Yemen's desire of making use of Iraqi experiences in judiciary field and training Yemeni cadre in this field.

For his part, the Iraqi minister confirmed his country's wish to enhance judiciary and justice cooperation and facilitating the process of signing judiciary protocol allowing ending the issue of Yemeni inmates in Iraqi prisons.

He also uttered readiness of his ministry in cooperation in justice domains and possible training Yemeni judiciary cadre in Iraqi Judiciary Institute and exchanging expertise between justice ministries of the two countries.
