MASAM removes 880 Houthis-laid landmines in a week

KSrelief Center's Demining Project in Yemen " MASAM" pulled out 880 of landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and explosives devices in the third week of June 2023.

These landmines, UXOs and explosives devices planted and left by Iran-backed Houthi militias in different Yemeni governorates.

MASAM reported that its deminers removed 6 anti-personnel and 143 anti-tanks landmines, 724 UXO and 7 explosives devices.

It is important to note that MASAM managed to remove 405 thousand and 213 landmines since it has its mission in 2018, all planted randomly by Houthi militiamen in different Yemeni regions.
