Leadership Council chair unveils 20 Saudi development projects in Hadhramout

President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council unveiled today 20 development projects and programs in Hadhramout Governorate, which are implemented and funded by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, at a cost of one billion, 200 million Saudi riyals.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council was accompanied during the event by the Speaker of the Shura Council, Ahmed bin Daghr, the advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Haider Abu Bakr Al-Attas, the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Shaddadi, the two deputy heads of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi, Judge Akram Al-Amiri, the Director of the Presidency Office, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi and other state officials.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council and senior statesmen were acquainted by the Assistant Supervisor General of SPDRY on the Saudi projects being implemented in the fields of education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, and capacity building of government institutions in addition to programs for the protection of human heritage.

During the celebration, the governor of Hadramout gave a new speech in which he welcomed the chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and his companions, praising the support of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for development in Hadramout governorate, and their humanitarian interventions in various fields.

Assistant Supervisor General of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Hassan Al-Attas, also spoke about the map of projects implemented by the program in Hadramout Governorate and neighboring governorates, stressing the Kingdom's commitment to continuing to support the Yemeni people and the government, and to promote economic recovery and development in the country.

The projects of SPDRY include interventions in the use of renewable energy and improving the quality of life, including clean drinking water, achieving water security and strengthening rural resilience.
