President al-Alimi follows relief efforts in Socotra governorate in the wake of heavy rainfalls

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council made a phone call today to the Governor of Socotra Archipelagos governorate Rafat al-Thaqali to know about the situations in the governorate which has been subjected to heavy rainfalls and floods since one week due to the atmosphere depression.

The governor reported to the President about local authority's underway efforts to help the affected peoples, citing the material damages caused to agricultural lands, fishing boats and basic services.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council urged the government and local authority to double down coordinated efforts with the relief organizations to provide the affected people with the necessary relief aids and support.
