Aden - Saba
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed today, in the interim capital, Aden, with the Swiss Ambassador to our country the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, the political developments in Yemen and the efforts exerted to achieve peace.
The meeting touched on the efforts made by Switzerland on the humanitarian side to mitigate the humanitarian catastrophe resulting from the Houthi coup, and the political role that Switzerland can play in Yemen after securing non-permanent membership in the Security Council at the beginning of this year.
The Minister indicated that the Houthi militia continues to deal negatively with calls for peace, its rejection of dialogue, and its failure to respond to calls to settle the conflict and end the coup peacefully.
