Minister of Water and Environment Engineer Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Thursday with Deputy General Director of Kuwaiti Direct Aid organization Nabeel Abdulrahman support to the ministry's plans of implementing water projects in liberated provinces.
The meeting discussed challenges and problems facing the ministry over results of country's conditions, situations of the water resources in the country and impacts of climate changes on water resources to provide water services to citizens.
Water minister made it clear that the transitional capital of Aden suffers pressure of big number of displaced people over the war and this problem is one of the biggest challenges faced by the ministry, pointing out that the daily need of water is more than 180 cubic meter daily and the need is increasing in summer.
For his part, the Kuwaiti official praised efforts of the ministry for providing drinking water to citizens during this difficult time, confirming keenness of the organization in cooperation and supporting the ministry's efforts in directing fundings towards water projects.
