Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi held discussions today, Tuesday, with the Special Envoy of Sweden to Yemen Peter Semneby over the latest developments in Yemen amid Houthi Houthi militias' intransigence, insistence on blocking peace efforts.
Dr. al-Alimi cited the Presidential Leadership Council's ongoing efforts to achieve the comprehensive peace, end the war imposed by Houthi militias, underscoring the need for further pressures by the international community upon Houthi militias and their backers to press for peace that can eliminate the coup, restore the State's institutions.
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council appreciated the Sweden's efforts to stop war and make peace in Yemen, praising the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aiming to end the war establish permanent peace in Yemen.
The Swedish envoy stated that his country is keen to keep on doing the efforts to realize peace in Yemen.
