President al-Alimi receives a number of European Ambassadors in Aden

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council along with Member of the Presidential Council Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi received today, Tuesday, in Aden the Head of the European Union Mission in Yemen Gabriel Vinales and Ambassadors of France, Holland, Germany, the Italian Special Envoy and Representative of the Finland diplomatic mission.

Al-Alimi and Aidarous detailed the European Ambassadors on the developments of the situations in the Yemeni national arena, the ongoing regional and international efforts to resume the political process, build-up on the outcomes of these efforts to establish security and stability in the country.

President al-Alimi praised the supportive stances of the European Union countries in support of the Yemeni people, its political leadership and their struggle for restoring the State's institutions, eliminate the Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup.

His Excellency called for more European pressures upon the militias in order to come to peace and end the protracted humanitarian suffering.

He also called for denouncing the Houthi militias' continuous violations of human rights including mobilizing hundreds of thousands of children in the sectarian preaching camps.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council confirmed the unity of the Presidential Council and its openness to all proposals aiming to make peace.

In this regard he praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to renew the humanitarian truce, launch an inclusive political process guided by the UN.

The European Ambassadors have confirmed the continuation of their countries' support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government's reforms efforts in the government-held governorates.

They also voiced their appreciation for the Presidential Leadership Council's constructive response to the efforts aiming to revive the peace track.
