Minister of Water meets Regional Director of the World Bank

On the sidelines of the United Nations Water Conference held in New York, the Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, met with the Regional Director at the World Bank Saroj Kumar Jha.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank in the field of water and the environment, and programs and projects that the World Bank can contribute to financing in Yemen.

Minister Al-Sharjabi praised the continuous cooperation with the World Bank, stressing the ministry's keenness to enhance cooperation in the field of water and the environment and benefit from the experiences and studies carried out by the World Bank in this field.

For his part, the World Bank's regional director affirmed the bank's readiness to provide technical and financial support for the implementation of water and environmental projects in Yemen, stressing the bank's keenness to enhance cooperation with the ministry and exchange experiences and information in this regard.
