Taiz Governor discusses with UN officials OCHA's interventions

Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan discussed Tuesday with Director of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Sarah Allaithi and Aden Office's Director Mahmoud Taher interventions of the organization in the province.

Governor Shamsan confirmed that exiting of the UN Office in Taiz will play a significant role in knowing closely what the province's needs of interventions, especially needs of priority and a number of other interventions, which depend on population and indicators on real evaluation on the ground.

He praised efforts of the UN Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen and its positive role in authorizing a Coordinator of the Humanitarian Affairs in the province and his following up to opening the UN Office in Taiz.

The meeting touched upon coordination and cooperation in a number of humanitarian affairs in the province for the year 2023, especially in health field and transferring into sustainable projects within the framework of the economic project to be tackled in the second half of 2023.
