The International Federation of Journalists has denounced storming the Premises of Yemeni Journalist Syndicate in Aden by armed men (thought to be affiliated with Southern Transitional Council).

A release issued by the federation demanded the concerned bodies and local authorities to take swift procedures to ensure returning of the possessions and enabling journalists of regaining their rights and resume their work.

The Secretary General of the Federation Anthony Bellanger has said this is a blatant attack on the syndicate movement and rights of journalists and media men in the country.

" We argue authorities to take swift measures and punish those who stand behind the attack," he said.
