Leadership Council chairman receives Emirati ambassador

President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad Hamad Al-Zaabi on Wednesday, who conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his wishes for good health and wellness, and for the Yemeni people stability and peace.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, conveyed through Ambassador Al Zaabi his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and his wishes to the Emirati people and government for further prosperity and progress.

The meeting dealt with developments in the local situation, and regional and international efforts aimed at reviving the truce and restoring the path of the political process in accordance with the terms of reference for a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis, and in particular Resolution 2216.

His Excellency the President praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the UAE's honorable position, alongside the Yemeni people, its political leadership, and its aspirations to restore state institutions and end the coup of the Iran backed terrorist Houthi militia.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council also praised the recent UAE pledges at the donors' conference, and the efforts of its financing institutions and charitable bodies, in supporting the Yemeni economy, rehabilitating services, and alleviating human suffering in the liberated governorates.
