Yemen’s Ambassador to Canada, HE Jamal Al-Sallal, had discussions on Friday with Member of Parliament, Ms Anita Vandenbeld, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Development, regarding the advancement of relations between our two Parliaments.
Ambassador Al-Sallal informed her of the latest developments in Yemen, and praised the Canadian Government for its ongoing support to Yemen, particularly in the humanitarian field.
He requested Canada’s support to Yemen’s Humanitarian Response Plan for 2023, confirming the importance of Canada’s contribution to capacity building and its support to developmental programs in Yemen.
In response, Ms Vandenbeld, confirmed her country’s support to the humanitarian efforts and the Response Plan in Yemen.
She additionally renewed Canada’s support towards the peace efforts, brokered by the UN Envoy for Yemen, to reach enduring peace in Yemen.
