Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, discussed with the specialist in maritime governance in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) aspects of the support provided by the UNDP in the field of maritime security awareness and activating the National Regional House for Information Exchange.
The meeting, which was held in the interim capital Aden today, touched on the importance of supporting the maintenance and rehabilitation of the building of the General Authority for Maritime Affairs, the main center in Aden, and providing the necessary equipment for the work of the regional center, in addition to training and qualifying national cadres in the transport sector and benefiting from international expertise in providing consultations for the establishment of the National Committee for Maritime Security.
