Ministers of electricity, oil sign in UAE project contracts to Hadhramout

Ministers of Electricity and Energy Mane'a bin Yameen and of Oil and Minerals Saeed al-Shammasi signed Wednesday here contracts for implementing three strategic service and developmental projects in Hadhramout Province through UAE specialized companies.

The contracts include implementing power plant generated by gas with output of 150 MW, establishing oil refinery with production output of 25 thousand parrel a day, tanks and free zone and constructing a unit for domestic gas in Masila area.

Ministers of electricity and of oil praised support of the UAE to different service domains and for relief efforts, pointing out that the projects will contribute in improving electricity service in the province and meeting people's needs in Hadhramout and nearby provinces of domestic gas.

Governor of Hadhramout, who attended signing the contracts, confirmed significance of these strategic projects in the province's development and improving services, praising UAE support in different service and developmental sectors.
