The Ministry of Public Health and Population handed over a site for the construction of an oxygen plant in Muhanf General Hospital in Abyan Governorate, funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
The plant is among five oxygen plants that will be established in the governorates of Abyan, Shabwa, Marib and Al-Mahra, at a cost of $1,500,000.
The Director General of the Engineering Department at the Ministry of Health, Eng. Muhammad Hassan, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the factories to be established have a production capacity of 67 cylinders per day, and operate two production lines, one of which supplies the hospital network with oxygen, and the second works on filling cylinders to meet the needs of the health sector.
