Asharjabi, FAO discuss action-plan to carry out project to sustain livelihood in Socatra, Hoof, Utoma protectorates

Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq Asharjabi and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) held session today, Monday, here in Aden aimed to discuss the executive plan to implement a project designed to support the livelihoods of the local communities in the natural protectorates Socatra Island, Hoof in Almahrah governorate and Utoma in Dhamar governorate.

The total cost of the project is $17 million and 503 thousand funded by the Environment Universal Fund.

The project is intended to help preserving the ecosystem diversity and support the livelihoods of the local communities in the three natural protectorates.
