President al-Alim receives UN's special envoy

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Council, along with the Council's members Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Othman Mujalli received today, Thursday, the Special Envoy of the UN to Yemen Hans Grundberg and his aide Ma'een Sharim.

The discussions covered a range of topics including the developments about the Yemeni file, the UN's and International community's coordinated efforts to revive the peace process in Yemen, end the war and the world's worst humanitarian crisis which created by the Iranian regime-backed Terrorist Houthi militias.

President al-Alimi stressed that the UN should have a significant role in ensuring fair and comprehensive solution to the Yemeni cause in accordance with the peace references which are agreed on nationally, regionally and internationally, to ensure achieving the Yemenis' aspirations for establishing the state, equal citizenship, protecting public rights and freedoms enshrined in the international laws and conventions.
