His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Tuesday, the Council's member Othman Mojali, the delegation of the European Parliament headed by the Chair of the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, David McAllister.
In the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council welcomed the high-ranking European delegation, and put them before the developments in the national arena, and the European efforts required to establish peace and stability, and fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people to restore state institutions and end the coup of the terrorist Houthi militia backed by the Iranian regime.
His Excellency the President expressed his appreciation for the European position in support of constitutional legitimacy and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, including European humanitarian and development interventions in various fields.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of doubling international pressure on the terrorist Houthi militia, and supporting the reforms led by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government as an ideal option to bring peace and reduce the catastrophic repercussions of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
