A report by the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms documented 4896 violations and crimes committed by the Houthi militia against religious activists and places of worship in Yemen from January 1, 2015, to June 30, 2025. Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi received Wednesday credentials of Tomas Urtiel as news Ambassador of Swiss to Yemen.
President al-Alimi held a meeting with the new Swiss ambassador talking with him about latest developments in Yemen, including Houthi terrorist militia's attacks on economic infrastructure and trade ships and the catastrophic aftermaths of these attacks on the humanitarian situation and on international security and peace.
The President praised Swiss positions towards Yemeni people in alleviating its suffering and supporting its aspirations in regaining their state and ending Houthi terrorist militia's coup.
He expressed hope of increasing Switzerland's active role in international forums as member of the Security Council for the forthcoming two years, hoping more improvement to relations between the two countries.
