Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women
The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. Moreover, Dr. Ahd Mohammed Salem Jaasous was appointed Minister of Local Administration, becoming the first woman to take on this ministry since the establishment of the republic.

Endowments Ministry condemns terrorist attacks on mosques in Hodeidah, Hadramout

Ministry of Endowments and Guidance condemned with the strongest words the Terrorist Houthi militia's terrorist attack against the historical Mosque of Arown Village in Hais district of Hodeidah governorate.

The Houthi militiamen targeted the mosque with drones attack yesterday, while worshipers were performing Friday prayers.
The terrorist operation resulted in killing two civilian worshipers, injuring five more.

The Ministry also condemned the terrorist crime against the worshipers upon Friday prayers at Azyar Historical Mosques in the region of Wadi Hawl in Hadramout governorate.

A number of worshipers were killed and wounded by the terrorist operation which no party claimed the responsibility for. But such terrorist operations used to be committed by some extremist religious groups and terrorist organizations.

The Ministry called on the Islamic and international organizations to condemn these crimes against the civilians and worship facilities which are protected under the International laws and conventions.
