Interior Minister confers with American Ambassador over Houthi militia's threats to international navigation lines

Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haydan discussed today, Monday, in the interim capital Aden, with American Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin the Terrorist Houthi militias' threats, joint collaboration about fighting terrorism, support for the Yemeni coasts guards and Aden governorate security plan.

Haydan highly appreciated the USA's support for the Yemeni legitimate government, securing the maritime navigation, seizing several ships boarding weapons to Houthi militias.

The Minister called on the US administration to designate Houthi militia a Terrorist Group.

The American Ambassador confirmed his country's continuing support for the Yemeni government, support for the military and security services, securing the maritime navigation from the terrorist threats.

Fagin stated that the US administration is keen on unifying the military and security institutions and services under the control of the legitimate government.
