Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wai'd Batheeb received Monday here the new Director of UNICEF Office in Yemen Peter Honkiez.
In the meeting, which was attended by former director Philip Duwamel, Batheeb welcomed the new director, hoping him success in his duties in Yemen, praising efforts of former director of the organization's office and his contributions in alleviating suffering of Yemeni people.
He pointed out to the ministry's welcome for partnership with UNICEF and providing necessary support to the new director, confirming significance of coordination with government for creating projects of development dimensions.
For his part, UNICEF's former director in Yemen praised fruitful cooperation he got from the government represented by the ministry of planning and international cooperation, expressing hope this cooperation will continue with the new director.
