The Republic of Yemen has denounced in strong -worded statement Iranian regime's shelling on a number of areas in Kurdistan Iraq Province by mortars and drones, killing and injuring a number of people.

In a statement for the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs issued on Monday, the Republic of Yemen considered the attack a blatant aggression against Iraq's sovereignty and security.

The ministry expressed full solidarity of the Republic of Yemen with the Republic of Iraq to take all necessary measures to protect its territories, sovereignty and security.

The release expressed heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Iraq and to families of the killed people, hoping quick recovery to the injured.
