Arrangements underway to facilitate voluntary return of 1500 illegal Ethiopian migrants from Marib

Deputy governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbo Meftah held discussions here in Marib city today, Thursday, with an official Ethiopian team and the representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) about the ongoing arrangements to help the voluntary return of 1500 illegal Ethiopian migrants from the governorate of Marib.
The initiative is targeting the voluntary return of 1500 out of 1800 migrants who want to return to their own homeland.
The flights of the voluntary return program is expected to start on the 22nd of this November.
It is important to note that there are more than 35 thousand Ethiopian migrants in Marib governorate.
