Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani received today, Monday, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Yemen Salim Khalifa al-Ghafli to bid him farewell as his tenure has expired now.
Al-Baramani highly praised the Ambassador's significant role he played during his mission in supporting the Yemeni cause and legitimate leadership against Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup.
He expressed the Yemeni leadership's and peoples' deep appreciation to Mr. al-Ghafli for his diplomatic efforts and his contribution to defend the Yemeni sovereignty against the Persian-Houthi sectarian scheme through his three sons participation within the Emirati troops who fought in different Yemeni regions.
The Speaker of Parliament also extoled the Emirati effective role in support of legality in Yemen.
The Emirati Ambassador stated that the UAE will continue to support Yemen's unity, security, stability, territorial integrity and republican regime.
