His Excellency President Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) partook in the opening session of the 77th Conference of the United Nations (IN) General Assembly which kicked-off its sessions today, Tuesday, in New York.

President al-Alimi is set to deliver his speech on Thursday to shed lights on the situations in Yemen, prospects for realizing comprehensive and permanent peace and government's efforts in this regard.

The UN General Assembly's agenda this year cover several topical issues including challenges in the countries enduring armed conflicts, climate change, repercussions of Coronavirus pandemic, economic development, humanitarian efforts, international law and others.
