Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani applauded the supportive stance of the Egyptian media in support of the legitimate Yemeni government against Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup, highly appreciating the Egyptian government's and peoples' support for the Yemeni people in different spheres.

He made his statement as he met here today, Tuesday, with the Chairman of the High Council for Organizing the Media in the Arab Republic of Egypt Karm Jabr.

The session intended to explore how to further promote media cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Erynai highlighted the need for media coordination and collaboration to defend Arab nation's interests and entity against the regional and international challenges including the Iranian policy that is seeking to promote sectarian conflict in the region.
