GCC confirms its support for the PLC, Yemen's unity, territorial integrity

The Ministerial Council of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has affirmed its full support for the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and its supplementary entities to enable it exercising its mandates to achieve security and stability in Yemen.

The GCC's Ministerial Council called on the Houthi militias to respond to the call by the PLC to start negotiation under the UN's guidance to reach political settlement in pursuant to the three terms of peace reference including the GCC's Initiative, its operational mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UNSCR 2216.

Ministerial Council reiterated its support for the efforts of the UN's envoy to Yemen and the US envoy to reach political solution in line with the three terms of peace reference.

The GCC"s Ministerial Council's final statement called on the two parties to Riyadh Agreement to get the remaining articles of the agreement implemented and support the Yemeni government to do its job.
