[31/08/2022 06:34]

MARIB - SABA
Deputy Governor of Marib Ali al-Fatemi discussed Wednesday with Coordinator of Dutch MSF's Project in Marib David Thagana interventions of the organization in health sector in Marib.

During the meeting, al-Fatemi expressed aspirations of the local authority for promoting partnership with MSF and other organizations to alleviate suffering of displaced people over miserable conditions resulting from displacement and heavy rains, which swept their houses and possessions and displaced hundreds of families.

He pointed out to necessity of doubling efforts of the UN and international organizations and double their interventions to avoid starvation among displaced people in Marib, especially after reducing interventions of World Food Program, which resulted in increasing suffering of displaced people.

For his part, MSF's project coordinator pointed out that the organization continues providing its interventions and is working on improving its interventions in health sector through transferring health services from makeshift clinics into ordinary ones to provide continuous services in camps of displaced people.
