A member of the Presidential Command Council, Major General Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met at the presidential palace in Maasheq in the temporary capital of Aden this morning, the military committee tasked with investigating the events in Shabwa governorate last week, headed by the Minister of Defense Major General Mohsen Al-Dairi.
Major General Al-Zubaidi received a detailed report from the committee chairman and the Minister of Defense that included the results of the field visit that the committee executed to the governorates of Shabwa and Hadramout to meet with all parties and get seated with them and collect the concludes and fects reached by the committee regarding the events that took place in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate last week.
The member of the Leader Council was also accounted by the chairman and members of the committee on the measures taken by the committee to remove the reasons of tension and regain security to the goernorate. Major General Al-Zubaidi praised the efforts made by the Military Committee to contain the situation and stop the escalation, stressing the importance of supporting the authorities in Shabwa governorate and strengthening their efforts to etablish security and stability in the governorate, which is of particular importance as an economic goverdnorate.
In his return, Major General Mohsen Al-Daeri, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Committee, expressed his thanks to the Command Council for its continuous bolster to the Committee and overcoming the difficulties in front of it to succeed in its tasks in restoring security and stability to Shabwa Governorate and supporting the efforts of the local authorities there.
