His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, headed today, Monday, to the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, on unofficial working visits, lasting several days, which also include the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The visits come as an embodiment of the well-established relations with the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom, and their active role within the framework of the coalition for legitimacy backing, as well as humanitarian and economic support to alleviate the suffering of the people, and to promote the reform path of by the Leadership Council at various levels.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished relations with the United Arab Emirates, whose foundations were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
On the sidelines of his private visit, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council is expected to hold meetings with Emirati officials on ways to strengthen these relations and push them to broader horizons in various fields.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council may also discuss the measures required to complete the allocation of the UAE-Saudi posit to the Central Bank of Yemen, joint interventions in the service and development sectors, and ways of coordination between the two sides to confront common security challenges, especially efforts to secure international shipping routes.
