Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabu Miftah discussed Thursday with the Regional Director of Norwegian Refugees Council (NRC) Mueen Hilal, who visits the province currently along with the accompanied delegation, domains of humanitarian partnership between the local authority and the council and the council's interventions in the province.
Miftah praised humanitarian interventions of the council, especially in field of shelter, education and help in coordinating managing 10 camps of displaced people and following up their movements, confirming significance of expanding the council's interventions regarding quick response of covering needs of afflicted families over the heavy rain and sandy storm hit the province during the past few weeks.
He stressed significance of focusing on humanitarian interventions of developmental dimension in addition to emergency interventions for helping displaced persons and hosting community on survival under increasing suffering over deterioration of economic condition in the country.
For his part, the Regional Director of NRC praised support provided by local authority for facilitating work and activities of the council, confirming that his visit to the province aims at enhancing humanitarian partnership and expanding interventions.
