The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Kuwait reaffirms continuous humanitarian support to Yemen

The State of Kuwait has confirmed continuous support and help to our country under deterioration of humanitarian situations in Yemen over increasing prices of food and energy in the world.

Acting Deputy Director of Operations Management for Arab Countries Affairs at Kuwaiti Fund for Development Ghazi al-Mutawa' confirmed during the fourth humanitarian meeting for Senior Officials on Yemen held Thursday in Brussels the fund's fulfilment of commitments of implementing different projects in Yemen.

" The regular and continuous support is a duty we will not leave it and must be present as long as the need among women and children exists and this fourth meeting confirms humanitarian issues in Yemen always get priority," Kuwaiti News Agency KONA quoted statement to al-Mutawa'.

" We must always be optimistic Yemeni people will sooner or later live better and prosperous life and hope is our sole choice and we all must recognize our responsibilities towards our humanitarian values," he added.

Al-Mutawa' pointed out to signing five agreements to different projects with the UN by Kuwaiti Fund for Development, stressing continuous support by the fund to Yemen and reaching needy people in different provinces.
