Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Dr. Mansour Ali Bajjash, met with South Korean Ambassador to Yemen Kwak Taeol, and discussed aspects of bilateral relations and ways to develop them and coordinate positions on issues of common concern.
Dr. Bajjash referred to the results of his official visit to Seoul and the Korean side's keenness to push bilateral relations to broader horizons by resuming scholarships, training courses and rehabilitation programs to build institutional capacities provided by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and providing development and relief support to achieve development and economic recovery and reconstruction in Yemen, in addition to joint coordination in exchanging support for the two countries' candidates in international forums and organizations.
He expressed the Yemeni government's appreciation for the support provided by South Korea in order to alleviate the effects of the humanitarian and food crisis left by the Houthi militia war against the Yemeni people.
