The Ministry of Education, the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SPDRY) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) signed today, Thursday, a partnership agreement worth $40 million to support basic education and develop the educational infrastructure sector in Yemen.

Yemen participates in Islamic Bank's meetings

Yemen participates in the annual meetings of the Islamic Bank for Development 2022 are being held here under the motto " After Recovery from the Pandemic, Survival and Sustainability" by a delegation headed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb.

In the opening ceremony of the meetings, which are being held from June 1 to 4, the bank's vision of taking care of human capital through providing better education, health and basic services meeting life's requirements, facilitating international trade and combating poverty were discussed.

In a statement to Saba, Minister Batheeb said the meetings will discuss a number of topics associated with the bank's projects matrix in Yemen and tackling unpaid debts, as well as supporting Yemen in economic recovery and reconstruction.
