PM briefed on preliminary investigations into attack on security forces in Shabwa

Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik was breifed by the Governor of Shabwa, Chairman of the Security Committee, Awad Al-Wazir, on the results of the preliminary investigations into the targeting of security forces in Shabwa Governorate by criminal elements, and the measures taken to prevent the recurrence of these terrorist acts and to prosecute and apprehend the perpetrators.

During a phone call, the Prime Minister offered condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers in these criminal operations, and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded. He directed the military and security agencies and the local authority in Shabwa Governorate, to tighten security measures and take the necessary measures to track down, prosecute and seize criminal and terrorist elements that are trying to destabilize security and stability in Governorate.

Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik pointed to the importance of firmness in deterring and pursuing criminal and terrorist cells and elements, and strengthening coordination to prevent the recurrence of these acts and control security and stability, stressing the importance of raising societal awareness to assist state agencies in detecting and controlling these elements.

He stressed that the government, with the support of the Presidential Council, will not hesitate to take all deterrent measures to deter terrorism and control its elements wherever they are, and to provide support to the military and security agencies to carry out their duties, and to coordinate with Yemen's partners, to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.
