MARIB - SABA
Yemen's government has warned of the Houthi militia's radicalization of children in "summer education camps" and exploiting them into becoming part of the militia's fighters.
In a joint communiqué on Tuesday, the branch offices of the Ministry of Religious Endowments and Guidance in six provinces (Marib, Aljawf, Sana'a, Dhamar, Amran and Saadah) called on parents in the Houthi-controlled areas to hold their children back from participating in the Houthi camps to save their faiths, characters and lives.
They warned that the militia "poison children's minds and load ideological bombs of sectarian hatred into them."
"The graduates from the Houthi summer courses in the past years ended up as extremists who kill and get killed."
