Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik paid an inspection visit to the Aden Refinery Company in the Buriqa district in the temporary capital Aden today to see the progress of work in it and the steps that have been taken to implement the timetabled plan prepared for the full operation of the refineries so that they play their vital role in securing the local market needs of oil derivatives.
The premier toured a number of vital facilities of the refinery, and visited the oil port. He was briefed by the Refinery Department and the Engineers about the plans and programs of Aden Refineries to restart at full capacity and in accordance with the timetabled operational plan prepared according to the Prime Minister’s directives.
In this regard, he stressed the need to redouble efforts to speed up the implementation of the plan according to the prepared schedule, to fully operate the refinery as being one of the most important vital facilities that can be relied upon to supply the national economy.
He chaired an broad meeting of the leadership of the Aden Refineries Company, and discussed with them the future plans for the work of refineries and the application of principles of transparency and governance, and the refineries' role in receiving and managing the oil facilitation grant provided by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
