Yemen, Cuba celebrates the 50th Anniversary of establishing cooperation relations

The Republic of Yemen and the Republic of Cuba celebrated today to mark the 50th Anniversary for establishing the bilateral relationships and cooperation between the two friendly countries and peoples.

The embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Yemen issued a press release circulated today in which it confirmed Cuba's support for a political settlement to the crisis in Yemen; underscoring the importance of keeping on further boosting the Cuban- Yemeni cooperation that has spanned over half a century in different spheres, mainly in education and health.

The Cuban embassy stated that the Cuban-Yemeni bilateral relations have particularly been productive in the domains of education and health helped large number of the Yemeni students pursue their higher education in the different Cuban educational institutions. Moreover the Republic of Cuba contributed to establish the Medicine College at Aden University and assign some 8 scholarships annually for the Yemeni students to study medicines in Cuba.
