Yemen's Ambassador to Russian, Dr. Ahmed Al-Wahishi, met with the Russian President's Special Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bagdanov.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop and strengthen them in various fields, as well as political developments following the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations held under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Bagdanov affirmed Russia's welcome to the announcement of the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressing hope for peace, security and stability in Yemen.
