An authorized official in the Yemeni government stated that His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)—Commander in- Chief-- was briefed along with a number of Council members and members of the National Defense Council on the situation in Hadramaut governorate, including the hostile military operations of the Transitional Council in recent hours, and the grave violations against innocent civilians in the governorate.

'MASAM' demines 1444 Houthis-laid landmines in 1st week of April

KSrelief Center's Demining Project in Yemen "MASAM" pulled out 1444 of landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and explosives devices in the first week of April 2022 planted by Iran-backed Houthi militiamen in different Yemeni governorates.

The Center reported that MASAM's deminers extracted 19 anti-personnel and 784 anti-tanks landmines, 640 UXO and one explosives devices.

This brings total number of the Houthis' landmines removed by MASAM up to 330 thousand and 981.

Houthi militias have continued to randomly plant landmines that kill, hurt and main the innocent civilians every day.

A human rights report published last week revealed that landmines planted by the Houthi militias killed 2,818 civilians and injured 3,655 others during the period from April 2014 to March 2022 in 17 governorates.
