Yemen, Korea discuss coordinating positions in international forums

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Mansour Baggash discussed Monday with Korean Ambassador to Yemen Kwak Tae Yeol means of boosting mutual relations between the two countries and coordinating positions towards common concerned issues in international forums.

Baggash touched upon latest political developments in Yemen including power transfer from President Hadi into Presidential Leadership Council led by Rashad Al-Alimi, pointing out that the council will be a new phase for working on realizing security and stability in Yemen.

Baggash praised efforts of Korean Government for its continuous support to Yemen, especially in field of financing humanitarian needs.

For his part, the Korean diplomat welcomed the military truce and establishing the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, confirming his country's firm position towards the internationally recognized government, Yemen's unity and sovereignty.
He also confirmed support to all efforts exerted for realizing peace and regaining order and security in Yemen and the region.
