Deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Saleh, met today with the Deputy Canadian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed developments on the Yemeni arena and the importance of the results of the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations, which were held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council, with the aim of achieving national reconciliation and advancing the peace process efforts.
The meeting also dealt with a number of issues of common concern, the priorities of the Presidential Leadership Council, preparations to return to the liberated governorates, and work to consolidate the truce despite the increasing violations of it by the Houthi militia.
The Canadian Deputy Ambassador extended to Brigadier General Tariq Saleh congratulations on the occasion of the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council and the transfer of power.
