'MASAM' removes 1485 Houthi- laid landmines in a week

KSrelief Center's Demining Project in Yemen "MASAM" extracted 1485 of landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and explosives devices in the fourth week of March 2022.

These landmines were randomly planted by Iran-backed Houthi militia's militants in different Yemeni regions.

KSrelief reported that MASAM's deminers managed to pull out 50 anti-personnel and 423 anti-tanks landmines, 976 UXO and 36 explosives devices. With this total number of landmines removed in March is 5395.

Since it has started its demining mission MASAM removed 328 thousand and 184 landmines, all laid down by Houthi militiamen.
